Program Description
The Credential Program: Multiple Subjects Classroom program offers candidates the opportunity to earn two or more of the following preliminary credentials: Multiple Subjects, Mild/Moderate, and/or Extensive Service Needs. Candidates that earn more than one credential are (1) prepared to fill teaching positions in high-need fields of public education, and (2) offer employers flexibility in making classroom assignment. Fieldwork and clinical hours are required throughout the program to support transferring course content into pedagogical practices.
Transferability of Education Credentials to Other States:
The United States Department of Education requires that institutions provide guidance to students concerning the transferability of their education credentials to different states. The SOE at CBU is accredited by the California Commission on Teaching Credentials. This allows CBU to recommend students ONLY for a California teaching/educational credential.
In order for a student to receive credentials in any other state it is the student’s responsibility to contact that state and meet their unique requirements. To aid our students, CBU’s SOE has compiled a list of contact information for each state’s education credentialling authorities.
If you have concerns or questions about credentialing requirements, please contact the office of the SOE at CBU at (951) 343-4448.
