Admission standards for graduate studies at California Baptist University can be found in the admissions section of the University Catalog. In addition, each candidate must meet the following requirements for this program:

Additional Grade Point Average
- A minimum 3.0 GPA for admission
Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the evaluated equivalency.
An active, unencumbered California Registered Nursing (RN) License
Professional resume that includes current practice as an RN
Complete a successful interview with the College of Nursing
Students are expected to work as a registered nurse during the program to gain clinical experience
Prerequisites must be completed within the last five years (completed with a “B-” or better):
- NUR 555 Advanced Pathophysiology
- NUR 558 Advanced Pharmacology
- NUR 560 Advanced Assessment
Required clearances (upon admission):
- CPR Certification
- Background Check Clearance
- Health Clearance
- Drug Testing
- Proof of Health Insurance
- Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance
