Objective

Learning Objectives Demonstrate Competence in Supporting Whole-Child Development Candidates will integrate knowledge of counseling, education, and developmental psychology to design and implement interventions that promote students’ academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and college and career readiness across diverse K–12 settings. Collaborate Effectively with Key Stakeholders Candidates will develop the skills to partner with educators, families, administrators, and community agencies to foster safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home and school. Apply Ethical, Professional, and Culturally Responsive Practices Candidates will apply the ASCA National Model and California Commission on Teacher Credentialing standards to provide equitable counseling services, respond to the national youth mental health crisis, and advocate for underserved student populations.
