Program Description
Candidates must complete all credential and state requirements to be eligible for a credential. Credential requirements are subject to change based on state regulations. Current credential requirements can be obtained from the School of Education credential program advisors.
Transferability of Education Credentials to Other States:
The United States Department of Education requires that institutions provide guidance to students concerning the transferability of their education credentials to different states. The SOE at CBU is accredited by the California Commission on Teaching Credentials. This allows CBU to recommend students ONLY for a California teaching/educational credential.
In order for a student to receive credentials in any other state it is the student’s responsibility to contact that state and meet their unique requirements. To aid our students, CBU’s SOE has compiled a list of contact information for each state’s education credentialling authorities.
If you have concerns or questions about credentialing requirements, please contact the office of the SOE at CBU at (951) 343-4448.
